info

Krysta is a footwear concept that blends modern technology with expressive design. Using resin 3D printing, the shoe explores how advanced additive manufacturing can unlock new levels of detail, customization, and sustainability in fashion. It represents a balance between functionality and artistry, tailored for the modern consumer.

about

Resin (SLA) 3D printing was chosen for its ability to produce intricate geometries and smooth finishes that traditional methods cannot achieve. This process allows each pair to be fully customizable in size and style, while also reducing material waste. The result is a shoe that is durable, flexible, and environmentally conscious.

process

The shoe was first modeled in Gravity Sketch, using sketches as references to define the profile and structure. The skeleton and outer skin were initally shaped, and SubD modeling was used to refine details like ridges and grooves.
